CV/Resume Website
Project Stages
Initial Consultation
This is the first meeting (either in person or online) between the client and the designer. During this stage, the client shares their needs, goals, and vision for the website. This is also a good time for the client to provide any examples of websites they like.Proposal and Agreement
Based on the initial consultation, the designer will create a proposal outlining the project scope, timeline, and costs. This document will detail what will be delivered and any responsibilities the client has, like providing content or images. Once the client agrees to the proposal, a contract is typically signed.Providing Content and Assets
The client gathers and sends the necessary materials to the designer. For a resume website, this might include their CV, a professional headshot, any portfolio items, and links to social media profiles or professional networks.Design Phase
The designer uses the information and assets provided by the client to create a design concept, usually starting with a wireframe (a basic layout) or a mockup. The client then reviews this concept and provides feedback. The designer makes revisions based on this feedback, and this review cycle continues until the client is satisfied with the design.Review and Launch
The client reviews the final website. If any changes are needed, the designer makes those adjustments. Once the client gives final approval, the website goes live. The designer may provide some training to the client on how to manage and update the site, depending on the agreed services.
